RETIRED FROM MARKETS AND MAKING A SALE A DAY
I am a mature age participant (yes a granny of nearly 60) of your course and have benefited from it soooo much!
My husband and I have had a business for over 23 years in recycled timber picture frames. We have had great moments with it where we earned an enormous amount and have brought up 4 children on this business. But! We were doing markets, festivals and fairs. When we look back on this we realised just how intensely hard we worked, especially hubbie Simon.
Simon and I have retired from doing markets thanks to everything I have learnt
- Gabrielle and Simon M.
and applied from your course. We are making a sale a day, which is great, because this is enough to give us a modest income. In the last 2 weeks we have received via the website: an order for 7 dress mirrors for people who are creating a luxury retreat for 18 people on a small island on the Barrier Reef, a bulk (second) order from an architect that specialises in sustainable living with her interior design and architecture business. And on top of that we have a (second) order from the government for a good number of frames which they are using in an award ceremony. All advertising gold!

LESS THAN A YEAR AND DOUBLED MONEY INVESTED IN COURSE
There is no way we'd still be in business if we hadn't signed up for your class!
Last summer we were trudging around doing low-profit, high-stress craft markets plus Etsy. This summer we have our own website, a highly interested following on social media, our own subscription program, and have made just about double the money we invested in your program last fall.
I graduated several years ago with a bachelor's degree in marketing. A Sale A Day has proved much more useful than my degree!
- Laura R. & Grace B.
1) It's way more up-to-date and relevant for today's entrepreneurs! My marketing classes focused mainly on brick-and-mortar stores and snail-mail marketing campaigns. A Sale A Day showcases the power of using modern platforms to connect with customers in relevant ways!
2) It cuts through the myriad of options to point out a proven path that will lead to success. Before taking A Sale A Day we had no idea what to focus on! We had no idea how to connect things - for example, how to build a successful pathway that would lead potential customers from an influencer's recommendation to our social media pages to our email marketing to our website and finally to a purchase.
3) It's so practical and includes literally everything we need! It covers everything from the big-picture vision all the way down to the nitty-gritty details of photography and email writing. The details in the modules helped us build a complete and thorough business plan that misses nothing.
And the extra lists of resources you've included have saved us so much time.
Back to where we are today. We signed up for A Sale A Day last fall. We opened our shop and Instagram accounts in January. Since then we've acquired 1,600 IG followers, had 2,419 visits to our website, and made $1,500 in sales.
NEW PRODUCTS SELL OUT WITHIN A WEEK
I opened my Etsy shop in 2014. It took me a long time to get my first sale and then consistent sales thereafter because I had no clue how to put my work out there to the people.
Little did I know that the way to run a business had changed tremendously, in 2017, and with the rise in online shopping, there are a lot of aspects to attracting, holding on to and making a sale to a potential buyer.
So I started looking up tips and tricks online and attended many webinars that I lost count of. This went on for a long time and I was getting nowhere.
- Subha L.
To be honest I still haven't completed all 12 modules, but from whatever I did sincerely, I have gained immensely.
1. I was making jewellery to please everyone. I learnt that that is not the case. I learnt about my niche audience and I know how and where to find them.
2. I make one-of-a-kind jewellery. I do 2 collections per year, between 8-12 pieces per collection. So far I've had 2 collections in these 2 years sell out within a week. Most other collections get sold out within 3-5 months.
3. Email marketing is the best thing I've learnt and the most beneficial for me. I don't have many subscribers, 225 to be precise so far. 30-50% of my sales come emails. Subscribers love the email automation chain of emails I send using the sequence Mei teaches. They always reply and engage. I love interacting with them.
4. Leaving Etsy and starting my own website has been the best decision ever. Yes, it is a lot of work maintaining a website but the visibility to my work has increased immensely.
5. I love packaging my products well and making them pretty on the outside. Many people told me I was spending unnecessary money. It was only through Mei I got the reassurance how necessary and important that was. How good packaging makes a great first impression and makes a buyer remember you by. Nearly all my buyers send me a message when they receive their packages as to how they took a minute to admire the packaging before they saw the product. That makes it all so worth it.
